JMEV offerings now available for reservations

MANILA: After releasing teasers early this year, JMC (Jiangling Motors Corporation) Philippines started accepting pre-orders for the upcoming JMEV EV2 and EV3 models.

While official pricing for the two forthcoming electric vehicles is yet to be finalized, the-Astara-backed automotive distributor shared they will be priced:

• JMEV EV2: between P660,000-P680,000
• JMEV EV3: around P780,000-P800,000

Here are some bits of information about the two models.

JMEV EV2

The vehicle has the following measurements:

Per JMC Philippines, the JMEV EV2 has a 26-kilowatt (kw) electric motor that can give 84 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque that lets the electrified offering reach a peak speed of 105 kilometers per hour (kph).

This is powered by a 15.86-kilowatt-hour (kwh) battery that provides a range of up to 201 kilometers when fully charged.

Inside, the four-seater EV is fitted with:

• PVC leather seats
• 14 storage compartments
• 105-liter trunk
• Two-speaker audio system

Among its safety features are the steel-aluminum hybrid body, impact-absorbing design, and triple-sealed protection for key electrical components against dust and water.

JMEV EV3

On the other hand, the JMEV EV3 measures:

Overall dimensions (length, width, height; in mm)	3,720 x 1,640 x 1,535
Wheelbase (in mm)	2,390

 In terms of powertrain, the vehicle carries a 50-kw motor that has the capacity to dish out 125 Nm and lets it reach a top speed of 115 kph. It is mated to a 31.15-kWh energy bank that gives it a maximum range of 330 km.

This five-seater offering has 177 liters of cargo space and is outfitted with the following:

• Touchscreen infotainment system
• Reinforced steel frame
• Dual airbags
• Anti-lock braking system
