LMI confirms Dongfeng E70 Pro arrival

MANILA: After being spotted in Pasig a few weeks ago at its head office, Dongfeng Motors Philippines is set to formally introduce the E70 Pro to the local market.

Based on the invitation sent to  Zigwheels Philippines, the Legado Motors Incorporated’s (LMI)-led distributor will conduct the electrified sedan’s official launch in the country on July 15.

While waiting for the firm to reveal the vehicle’s specifications, here are some bits of information about the vehicle in overseas markets.

Possible specifications

Known as the Dongfeng Aeolus E70 Pro abroad, the model measures:

Among the model’s amenities seen in other markets include:

The new energy vehicle offering’s powertrain is made up of an electric motor paired with a 50.23-kilowatt-hour battery engineered to provide:

Such churns give the Dongfeng Aeolus E70 Pro the capability to reach 100 kilometer per hour (kph) from rest in nine seconds and hit a top speed of up to 150 kph.

On the other hand, vehicle stability and controllability are guaranteed by its suspension system made up of independent MacPherson in the front and torsion beam for the rear coupled with disc brakes on all four wheels.

Further, we are expecting that the soon-to-be-unveiled Philippine-spec Dongfeng E70 Pro will be outfitted with the following technologies that come in the form of:

• Anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist
• Traction control
• Blind spot monitoring
• Electronic stability control
• Hill start assist

With all these possible features, we are expecting that the price of the vehicle will be a wee bit over P1 million.
