Jaecoo J5 to enter Cebu market this week
Model’s EV, HEV options to become closer to customers in Visayas
MANILA: Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines is set to bring the J5 nameplate closer to its customers in the Visayas as the model will be launched in Cebu this week.

Both the J5 EV battery-electric and the J5 HEV hybrid-electric variants will be available in Cebu.In a statement, the Chinese automaker’s arm in the country noted that the model’s anticipated activity will take place at SM Seaside City Cebu from August 20-24.
Per Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines, the model’s battery electric and hybrid electric options will be brought to the region to give customers two mobility options, while highlighting the brand’s “focus on intelligent technology, modern SUV design, comfort, and performance.”

“The Cebu debut is part of Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines’ continuing nationwide expansion and its efforts to make smart and electrified mobility more accessible to Filipino customers outside Metro Manila,” the company mentioned.
Despite having two powertrain options, the Jaecoo J5 shares the Smart Cockpit design that integrates vehicle information, connectivity, entertainment, and intelligent controls into a more intuitive driving environment.

“Cebu continues to serve as one of the country’s major economic and automotive centers outside Metro Manila, making it an important market for the introduction of new hybrid and electric vehicle technologies,” the firm explained.
“Through the J5 HEV and J5 EV, Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines aim to give more customers in the Visayas access to the latest developments in electrified powertrains, intelligent vehicle technology, and smart cockpit technology,” it added.
