What happened in the Marcos Highway crash?
Muhlach’s Denza B8 SUV veered off Marcos Highway in Antipolo City and crashed into several roadside establishments, injuring one person. What happened to Muhlach’s Denza B8?
The LTO placed the Denza B8 under alarm status to enforce the penalty and prevent transactions involving the vehicle while the resolution remains in effect. For the unaware, this incident has already made the rounds on social media and traditional news outlets for weeks now. And it was eventually revealed that the actor in question was Niño Muhlach.
To recount, Muhlach’s Denza B8 sport utility vehicle (SUV) had veered off from the aforementioned highway before crashing into several roadside establishments. One person was injured during the crash.
Since then, the actor had admitted responsibility for the incident, saying that he fell asleep at the wheel due to fatigue. The LTO’s own investigation and a series of hearings into this incident have determined that it was a primary cause of the crash.
Due to this, the government agency determined that Mulach was answerable to charges of Reckless Driving and was declared an “Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle.” The two-year suspension of his driver’s license, of course, was the result of this official decision from the LTO.

Furthermore, the LTO has applied an “alarm status” on Muhlach’s Denza B8. This will ensure the enforcement of the penalty on the actor’s driver’s license. It will also prevent any transactions involving his vehicle while the resolution remains active.

Ipatutupad natin ang kaukulang kaparusahan batay sa resulta ng imbestigasyon at pagdinig, anuman ang katayuan ng sangkot,” LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao said.
[The LTO is serious in enforcing traffic laws, especially on violations that can cause harm to other road users. We will impose the right penalties based on the results of the investigations and hearings, regardless of the status of those involved.>
Other LTO updates
It wasn’t just Niño Muhlach who landed in hot water with the LTO in recent days. If one remembers, an unnamed actor was also involved in an issue with a Porsche 918 Spyder that was apprehended for using unauthorized plates.

The ultra-rare sports car is now in custody of the Bureau of Customs following seizure proceedings. It was, after all, allegedly misdeclared as a “Porsche Boxster.”
