Mitsubishi Motors Thai Plant achieves 4 million Production Mark

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MCC) released a press statement, wherein it confirmed that its Thai plant has reached the mail-stone figure of 4 million vehicles. It is a big achievement for the Mitsubishi Thailand, who is the exclusive producer and distributor in Thailand. To celebrate this achievement, a commemoration ceremony was held, in which were invited Thai Government officials and other important parties. Tetsuro Aikawa, MMC President and COO was also present to witness this big event.

Mr. Aikawa was very happy with the plant performance and he also thanked the Thai Government and other concerned parties for their support and corporation. He said, "I'm very happy to be here with you to commemorate MMTh's achievement of four million units produced and I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Thai government and all parties concerned for their continued cooperation and support rendered to MMTh. Moving on we will continue to place our Thai operations as the core of our business, devoting ourselves to producing vehicles that will exceed customers' expectations, and expand our operations in step with the Thai automobile industry."

The concerned Thai plant was established in January 1987, as the major overseas production hub for MMC. In the near future, Mitsubishi Motors Thai plant is planning to include R&D capabilities in the production hub, in order to increase its capacity and enhance quality and marketability.
