MMDA to suspend coding for upcoming holidays

MANILA: The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) stated that it will suspend the Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program — commonly known as the number coding scheme — for the upcoming holidays.

With the said announcement, number coding scheme-implementing cities (including Makati), will lift the said rule on October 30 (Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections), November 1 (All Saint’s Day), and November 2 (All Soul’s Day).

Due to the expected influx of vehicles, the agency advises motorists to plan their trips, obey traffic rules, and to keep safe while on the road.
