Nissan PH keeps Navara pricing for Jul. amid CMEPA implementation

MANILA: The pricing of Nissan Navara across all variants will remain at current suggested retail prices this month amid the implementation of the Republic Act 12214 — commonly known as Capital Markets Efficiency Promotion Act (CMEPA).

However, Nissan Philippines Incorporated (NPI) clarified in a statement that the aforementioned pricing will be in limited supply, saying that it will depend on dealership stocks.

It can be recalled that last July 1, the tax exemption on pickup trucks not used for livelihood purposes has been officially revoked by the Philippine government.

These are the prices of the Nissan Navara as seen on their website:

All Nissan Navara offerings in the Philippines are powered by a four-pot, double overhead cam, 2.5-liter common rail direct-inject, diesel engine with turbocharger and intercooler that can dish out the following churns:  

• Maximum output (in horsepower): 161-187
• Peak torque (in Newton-meters): 403-450

Power is sent to the wheels via six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearbox and select trims get a part-time, shift-on-the-fly, four-wheel-drive system as well as an electronic locking rear differential.

Every Nissan Navara variant being sold locally comes with a suspension system made up of independent double wishbone with coil spring and stabilizer bar at the front and five-link with dual rate coil spring and stabilizer bar for the rear. Guaranteeing its stopping power are the ventilated discs brakes for the front wheels and drum brakes for the back.
