Nissan to update Kicks in PH?

MANILA: Nissan Philippines could be bringing the updated Kicks e-Power to the country soon.

Such a claim was based on the homologation document released by the Land Transportation Office (LTO), which lists the specifications and classification of the nameplate.

Per the technical data found on the paperwork, the updated Nissan Kicks e-Power appears to have been placed under the classification of sport utility vehicle (SUV) with an “M1” vehicle category. 

For those who do not know, M1 is a class used by the country’s land transport bureau for electric vehicles designed to carry a maximum of eight occupants and have a maximum gross weight not exceeding 3.5 tons or 3,500 kilograms.

Based on the documents from LTO, the SUV has the following dimensions:

While waiting for Nissan Philippines’ formal announcement, here is a quick look at the specifications of the updated Kicks e-Power overseas — specifically, the United States.

US-spec Nissan Kicks

At its fore is a large grille with horizontal slat, which gives the vehicle a futuristic look. It also has a robust chin, that adds to the Nissan Kicks’ athletic appeal. 

Its side profile is equipped with black claddings with a hip that highlights the vehicle’s sexy dimensions. Above the beltline is a dark-hued applique, which gives the impression of a floating roof. 

At the back is a decent-sized glass with a roof-mounted spoiler paired with coverings that seem to wrap around the rear of the 2025 Nissan Kicks. 

Inside is a combo of 12.3-inch screens, optional Bose-branded speakers, and other amenities like leather trims.
