Oil firms welcome Jun with substantial pump price rollback

MANILA: Filipino motorists are expected to enjoy a much-needed break from soaring petroleum prices as products at the pump are expected to experience a rollback tomorrow. 

Across the board, all gasoline products will go down by P4.76 per liter, while the price for all diesel products will be slashed by P9.26 per liter. 

Finally, the price for kerosene products will be reduced by P10.86 per liter.

The update came from the Department of Energy and is slated for the week of June 2 to 8, 2026. The said rollback will be implemented for Metro Manila and in highly urbanized areas according to the agency. 

“Ang mga pagbabagong ito ay nakabatay sa galaw ng pandaigdigang merkado ng langis, sa gitna ng patuloy na kaganapan sa Middle East na nakakaapekto sa global supply at presyo (These changes are based on the movements of the global oil market, amid ongoing events in the Middle East that affect global supply and prices),” the DOE wrote in a social media advisory.  

“Patuloy ang pagkilos ng Department of Energy upang mapalakas ang supply ng langis at mapangalagaan ang kapakanan ng publiko (The Department of Energy continues to work to strengthen the supply of oil and protect the public interest),” it added.
