Omoda C7 makes rounds at Malaysia Auto Show 2025

MANILA: The Omoda C7, which recently made an appearance at the latest edition of the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, has been presented at the Malaysia Auto Show 2025.

Omoda previewed its upcoming entry into the Malaysian medium-sized SUV segment, which boasts a futuristic look and a high-tech cabin.

Exterior

At the fore, the Omoda C7 wears a modern take on the honeycomb grille with a latticework sporting patterns comprised of small hexagons. The meshwork is flanked by sleek headlamps, which add character to the vehicle’s fascia.

Its sides come with blacked-out wheel arches and bottom door garnishes. These are complemented by piano black pillars as well as dark trims on its side mirrors. Noticeable are its flush door handles and geometric body lines.

The backside of the Omoda C7 gets a sculpted tailgate and a decorated with headlamps connected by a rear garnish. The protruding roof-mounted spoiler adds a dash of sportiness to the SUV.

Interior

The cabin of the Omoda C7 packs a 15.6-inch infotainment system, which stands out on the reportedly minimalist dashboard.

It also appears to get Sony-branded sound systems, which can help enhance one’s overall riding experience.

Notable too are its leather-upholstered racing bucket seats.

Powertrain

Propulsion comes from a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine accompanied by an electric motor. In unison, the said setup makes as much as 355 horsepower with 310 Newton-meters of torque.

Power delivery is handled by a dedicated hybrid transmission system.

Omoda in PH

While the brand did not exactly hit the ground running, it managed to officially make its Philippine debut not too long ago.

Together with its sister marque Jaecoo, it showcased its offerings to members of the Philippine motoring media at a track day event in Batangas Racing Circuit.
