Petron Motorsports Supports Rise of Racing in PH

MANILA: Petron Corporation, through the Petron Motorsports program, supports the booming Philippine motorsports scene through its consistent presence at and sponsorship of racing venues.

Petron Motorsports is supporting the following racing events:

Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup

The Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Vios Cup is the most anticipated premier one-make race series in the Philippines. Drivers compete in one-make Toyota Vios cars, putting them all on an even playing field. This means that results are solely dependent on the driver's skills, making it a coveted triumph among Filipino racers.

The 2023 season of the TGR Vios Cup kicked off last July 1. The next legs will happen on September 9 and November 11.

Petron Philippine Motorsport Championship

This four-wheel competition includes different racing formats with distinctive rules and mechanics. Both seasoned racers and novices can experience many kinds of thrills throughout this ultimate race weekend.

The first three legs of this year’s Petron Philippine Motorsport Championship were conducted last May, June, and July. The fourth leg will happen August 26 to 27, the fifth leg on September 23 to 24, and the last leg on October 28 to 29.

Makabayan Racing Series

This endurance racing series puts the resilience of a driver and the durability of their vehicle to the test as teams strive to travel the furthest distance in the shortest amount of time.

The Kagitingan Cup was held last April 15 to 16, while the Kalayaan Cup happened last June 10 to 11. The Bonifacio Cup is scheduled on November 25 to 26.

Petron Philippine Overland Expedition

Teams of daring explorers embark on a journey in their overland vehicles through the Philippines' hinterlands, putting their off-road driving expertise and ability to navigate unusual terrain to the test.

The next edition of the Petron Philippine Overland Expedition will happen in 2024.

Tour de Cebu Historic Sports Car Rally

The only historic car rally in the Philippines showcases the elegance and durability of pre-1972 vintage cars as participants travel thousands of kilometers through some of the country's most stunning landscapes.

This year’s Tour de Cebu will be on October 20 to 23.

Petron National Motorcycle Racing Championships

Since motorcycles are different in nature than cars, this competition is the perfect opportunity to watch the country's top motorcycle racers in action. This event covers three major classes: Underbone, Scooter, and Superbike.

The first three legs of the Petron National Motorcycle Racing Championships happened last May, June, and July. The fourth leg will be held on August 5 to 6, the fifth leg on September 2 to 3, and the last leg on October 14 to  15.

Petron Motorsports Karting Academy

In order to secure the future of Philippine racing, Petron Motorsports supports initiatives and venues that act as training grounds for aspiring racers. Future champions are honed by the Petron Motorsports Karting Academy, which offers kart clinics for children as young as seven years old. Various karting competitions, like the Petron Blaze 100-ROK Cup Series and the Petron Blaze 100-Rotax Max Challenge Philippines Karting Super Series, put these prodigies to the test.

The first three legs of this year’s Petron Blaze 100-ROK Cup Series were held last April, May, and July. The last leg is scheduled on August 19 to 20.

Meanwhile, the Petron Blaze 100-Rotax Max Challenge Philippines Karting Super Series had its first two legs last March and June. The third leg will happen on September 9 to 10, while the last leg will be on November 4 to 5.

The Petron Motorsports program continuously demonstrates that its products are of the highest caliber and provide optimal performance even in the most challenging conditions. Petron optimizes cars and motorcycles so that drivers may concentrate on honing their track skills while it takes care of everything else.
