VinFast O2O online car buying platform launched for PH

MANILA: VinFast Philippines has introduced a way for prospective car buyers to set up purchases through a wholly online process. Dubbed the VinFast O2O, it is accessible through the brand’s local website.

According to the brand, the typical customer journey on the newly introduced VinFast O2O consists of six steps. 

• Discover online - Users browse through the VinFast Philippines website and pick the car they want. 
• Personal consultation - Through VinFast O2O, professional helpdesk staff can answer any questions a client might have about their electric vehicles (EV) and the buying process. 
• Test drive booking - Those who want to can also sign up for test drives through VinFast O2O. 
• Vehicle reservation - Prospective buyers pay a nominal reservation fee for the model they want via the website. One can also set up the payment method (financing or cash) through VinFast O2O. According to the VinFast O2O page, all models ranging from the VF3 to the VF9 flagship sport utility vehicle (SUV) come with a P5000 reservation fee.
• Vehicle preparation - VinFast Philippines prepares the vehicle for delivery. During this step, clients may expect a waiting period. 
• Vehicle delivery - VinFast Philippines will deliver a brand-new model via a flatbed truck to the indicated address. 

Notably, VinFast Philippines says this online car-buying system doesn’t entirely replace physical dealerships. Instead, they complement them, providing an alternative that may be more accessible to some people. 

On the one hand, it was clarified by the company that VinFast O2O stocks are handled directly by VinFast Philippines and do not come from any of its partner dealerships nationwide. Despite this, it was claimed that VinFast O2O will not, in any way, affect the business of its existing local dealer partners. 

If one prefers, a buyer can actually indicate the dealership they prefer to transact with. So, apart from purchasing directly from VinFast O2O, one can choose any of the brand’s dealerships nationwide.

Be aware, though, that as of its introduction, the VinFast O2O service is available only in the Metro Manila area. The brand is also gearing up to open the VinFast O2O delivery center to facilitate clients in Metro Manila. 

VinFast’s battery subscription model can be accessed through its newly introduced online car buying platform. The said platform is likewise capable of receiving orders for business-to-business (B2B) type transactions, such as for TNVS operators, fleet operators, and logistics providers. 

Last but not least, vehicles brought directly under VinFast O2O can still address their aftersales and periodic maintenance needs at the brand’s physical dealerships or any of its accredited EV service centers nationwide.
