Seaoil continues free fuel assistance for hospitals amid lockdown

MANILA: Seaoil Philippines has announced that it will continue to supply free fuel to different hospitals and healthcare facilities in the country to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Seaoil explained that the assistance is for medical frontliners and hospital ambulances that are currently dealing with COVID-19 cases.

At present, Seaoil is providing free fuel to over 20 hospitals in the country. These hospitals include the Philippine Heart Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, East Avenue Medical Center, San Lazaro Hospital, Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, and the Philippine General Hospital.

Seaoil also stated in a press release that it is giving free fuel e-vouchers to various hospitals and such vouchers accepted in all open stations of Seaoil in the Philippines.

According to Seaoil CEO Glenn Yu, the firm is doing its best to maximize its resources to provide support and aid for their employees and the community. The fuel company has allotted P10 million for free fuel and discounts as a way of supporting the healthcare staff and medical frontliners in hospitals as well as transport groups and local government units (LGUs). Yu also added that Seaoil works closely with its partners to supply free fuel where it is immediately needed.

Seaoil previously declared that for those specifically involved in maintaining general safety and health, a P3 diesel and P5 gasoline discount is available at designated stations nationwide. To get the fuel discounts, vehicle drivers need to show an ID card for the verification of their profession.

The free fuel subsidy is beneficial for quarantine officers, health workers, hospital and clinical staff, medical technicians and professionals, and LGU officials. It also gives priority to the uniformed personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
