Tokyo 2015 Preview: Mitsubishi to Showcase eX Compact Crossover Concept

MANILA: As the Tokyo Motor Show is on its way, different automobile brands' planning are seeing as turning into actions. Just now we saw that Toyota has unveiled a SF-R Sport Car Concept in Lemon Yellow colour and here another Japanese automaker, Mitsubishi also releases the official renders of the eX concept. Seen in shiny Yellow finish in images, this concept looks like a bold small electric SUV, showing off brand's next-generation electric vehicle technologies.

Up in the front, the concept flaunts brand's dynamic shield grill, combative bumper, sharp looking headlights, and distinctive fog lamps. The side is characterized by sloping roofline, outstanding wheel arches, and suicide doors, the doors which are hinged at its rear rather than the front. The rear receives sleek taillights, roof-mounted lip spoiler, massive wheels, and large bumper.

Inside, the eX concept looks stylish and futuristic with two-tone theme of yellow and grey. A flat-bottomed steering wheel, unconventional gearbox, and large central display are other features cleanly integrated in the car. Talking about the powertrain of Mitsubishi's next-generation vehicle, it is said that the EV powertrain will be mated to an all-new drive system, paired with number of technologies like automated driving, connected car and active safety.
