UAAGI gets Radar distributorship for PH
Geely subsidiary’s entry expected to boost local NEV market growth
MANILA: United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI) has added Radar to its portfolio for the Philippine market.

“Radar has quickly emerged as a significant player in the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) pickup segment. Notably, Radar holds a commanding position in its segment, capturing over 50 percent of the Chinese market share from 2023 to the present day. This impressive market dominance underscores the brand's innovation, quality, and appeal to consumers seeking sustainable and versatile transportation solutions,” UAAGI Chairman Rommel Sytin was quoted as saying.

According to UAAGI, its decision to introduce Radar to the local market serves as a “testament to the company's deep understanding of the evolving needs and preferences of Filipino car buyers.”
“By bringing in Radar, UAAGI is not only expanding its portfolio but also contributing to the growth of the NEV market in the country,” the company explained.
Aside from the Philippines, Radar is already present in more than 50 countries and regions worldwide — spanning diverse markets that include Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Central America, and South America.
For his part, Radar Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ling Shiquan said that by this year, the marque will “enter a new phase of global cooperation” and is eyeing to sell 30,000 units worldwide as well as establish “NEV pickup market leadership in every region.”
Radar’s initial offering for the Philippines will likely be its flagship model, the RD6. The aforementioned product is said to combine comfort and performance of an electric crossover with the utility of a pickup truck — while surpassing other traditional pickup platforms in terms of power, intelligent technology, and multi-functionality.

Propelling the five-seater electric pick-up truck is an electric mill that can dish out up to 268 horsepower.
