Ducati adds two new bikes to its Scrambler 1100 line with PRO and Sport PRO

MANALI: With the massive success of the Scrambler when it was launched back in 2014, Ducati is expanding the line with two more bikes—the 2020 Scrambler 1100 Pro and the Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro. These unassuming bikes appeal to riders because of their unassuming design and no pretence look while taking on a bit of a retro vibe.

The refreshed Scrambler 1100 Pro gets a new two-tone "Ocean Drive" color scheme, with a black steel trellis frame and a rear aluminum subframe. The new right-side dual tailpipe and low-slung plate holder adds for unique styling. Add to that is the new livery, which gives the bike a busy compact exterior. Another standout feature of the new Scrambler 1100 Pro is the framed headlight with black metal X gives the bike the 70’s vibe.

If you want a more macho looking bike, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport PRO is the beefiest version on the line. It comes with the same styling of the Pro in Matt Black color scheme highlighted by side panels sporting a painted 1100 logo. It also comes with Öhlins suspension, low-slung handlebars, and Café Racer rear-view mirrors. Besides the robust size, the Sport Pro also comes equipped with regulated specific Ducati Traction Control (DTC), ABS Cornering for conquering curves and bends, and the three standard Riding Modes: Active, Journey and City to help novice riders find the right balance for every riding style.

Both the Scrambler 1100 PRO and Scrambler Sport PRO comes with the same engine found on the Ducati Scrambler 1100 line—an air-cooled 1,079cc V-twin engine that delivers 86 hp of maximum power and 88 Nm of peak torque. But now, the engine is Euro 5 compliant.

Expect the Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO and Sport PRO to be available in showrooms from the end of March 2020 (country-specific). But if you can’t wait any longer, you can reserve a Scrambler 1100 via their website.
