The Pegasus is inspired by the very rich history of Royal Enfield dated back during the Second World War. At that time, the legendary Flying Flea 125 was manufactured at the contemporary underground plant in Westwood in the United Kingdom. Hence, this limited edition Pegasus is manufactured as a tribute to this military heritage of the brand.

Aesthetically, there are some unique distinctions that will help you recognise this amazing bike. There is a Pegasus insignia on the side of the tank along with the production serial number printed. As for example, the serial number is marked as “C50XXX”, out of which the "XXX" would be the production number between 0-999. Plus, the Royal Enfield emblem on the tank has the “Made Like A Gun” inscribed on it.

Special attention has been given to all the details in order to re-create the bike from the past, which can be proven by the yellow stripe given just beside the foot pegs. According to Mark Wells, the head of Product Strategy at Royal Enfield said that back in history, the yellow stripe beside the engine cover was used to denote the centre of gravity of the two-wheeler. Though it does not mean a lot in the bike, it just goes on to show how much the company has focused on the detailing and doing it right.

Wells even added that the Flying Flea was such an important part of the company back then and denoted almost everything that it stood for. Even at the time, many manufacturers made such dispatch bikes, but the Flying Flea stood out as the proper motorbike. It used a 125 cc engine, had a weight of just 59 kilograms could run on any type of fuel.
