Royal Enfield Classic 650 now in PH

MANILA: Motociclista Scatola Incorporated (MSI) has officially brought the Royal Enfield Classic 650 to the Philippine market.

The latest addition to the motorcycle brand’s local lineup came after the local distributor brought to the local market the Bear 650 and Classic 350 — both revealed early this year.

Here is what Royal Enfield's newest offering provides its buyers.

Staying true to the nameplate’s traits, the Royal Enfield Classic 650 maintained the Royal Enfield DNA’s timeless elegance.

The nameplate’s super-sized iteration sports:

• Signature stance
• Round headlamp (now fitted with LED illumination)
• Saddle-type seats with removable pillion
• Mid-positioned footpegs
• Polished portions (twin peashooter exhausts, retro analog cluster gauge housing, handlebar, switchgear housings, and side mirrors)
• Teardrop-shaped fuel tank
• Curved fenders

It also wears the “frame-loop” design that connects it to all past models namely the Classic, Thunderbird, Super Meteor, and Shotgun.

Among its modern touches is the digital LCD screen that shows odometer, trip meter, fuel level indicator, service reminder, gear position indicator and clock.

Powertrain

Powering the Royal Enfield Classic 650 is a four-stroke, single overhead cam, fuel-injected, 648-cubic centimeter gasoline-propelled parallel twin engine tuned with low-end acceleration. The said mill (also found in the Bear 650, Super Meteor, and Interceptor) can deliver:

Power is sent to the rear wheel via its six-speed constant mesh gearbox.

Further, the Royal Enfield Classic 650 rides on Showa suspension.

Packaged with three-year unlimited warranty, Royal Enfield’s newest product  in the Philippines is available in the following options:

• Vallam Red: P429,000
• Teal Green: P435,000
• Black Chrome: P445,000
