VinFast highlights top 3 e-motorcycle selling points for PH riders

MANILA: Even after its local brand introduction back in July, VinFast E-Motorcycle is still being talked about by Filipino motorists. This headlines the growing interest among local riders when it comes to switching over to all-electric two-wheelers. 

Per VinFast, here are the three biggest selling points of its E-Motorcycle models that have proven to be attractive. 

Subscription Model

While relatively more affordable than a lot of internal combustion motorcycles in the Philippines, E-Motorcycles in general still carry hefty price tags. VinFast addresses this particular issue through its battery subscription option, allowing customers to purchase the motorcycle at a lower upfront price while paying for battery use separately.

According to the brand, the aforementioned starts at just P439 per month. With that very low monthly cost, e-motorcycle ownership has become more accessible, and that’s without compromising the motorcycle’s features, performance, and capabilities. 

Additionally, the subscription option from VinFast E-Motorcycle includes a battery warranty package that covers the entire subscription period. 

For riders who rely on motorcycles for everyday transportation, a lower entry cost can make the difference between simply considering an electric motorcycle and actually owning one. By reducing the initial financial burden, VinFast’s subscription model makes the transition to electric mobility more attainable for everyday riders.

Battery Swapping 

When it comes to all-electric mobility, range anxiety will always be a concern. In the Philippines, where motorcycles are often used for long and flexible daily trips, the thought of relying on a single charge can make some riders hesitant to make the switch.

VinFast’s lineup of all-electric two-wheelers, however, relies on battery swapping technology. This eliminates the need for having to wait for an empty battery to get charged back up. In turn, this means less downtime and a faster way to get back on their respective journeys.

The system also takes some of the responsibility for battery upkeep away from riders. VinFast handles battery maintenance under the swapping system, giving users added assurance that the batteries they receive are maintained and ready for use.

Weather-resistant models

As observable from current events, Metro Manila and many other areas in the Philippines are regularly pelted by harsh weather. Specifically, we’re talking about heavy rain and the subsequent flooding it can cause. 

On that note, many are concerned if electric motorcycles will be up to snuff when tackling these kinds of situations.

VinFast’s Evo, Feliz II, and Viper address this concern with IP67-rated powertrains. This rating means their core electrical components are protected against dust and can withstand water submersion under specified test conditions.

For riders caught in heavy rain or traveling through waterlogged roads, the IP67 rating provides added confidence in the motorcycles’ ability to handle the conditions they may encounter. In a market where weather resistance is an important part of everyday usability, this feature gives VinFast’s lineup a practical advantage.

The VinFast Evo, Feliz II, and Viper are available through VinFast E-Motorcycle Philippines’ growing network of showrooms and authorized dealers nationwide.

The sportiest of the three is the VinFast Evo. It uses a single motor that can drive the model to speeds of up to 90 kilometers per hour. It also has a range of 82 kilometers. 

Notable features available to the Evo include a smart thin-film transistor screen with a multi-information display, a smart key system that can remotely lock or unlock the motorcycle, a full-LED light system, and a spacious footrest.
