Zontes re-enters PH market under Bristol Motorcycles

MANILA: Bristol Motorcycles brought back the Zontes nameplate in the Philippines through the company's latest lineup made up of five models.

During its preview over the weekend, Bristol Motorcycles Vice President for Marketing David Winkle said that the Zontes lineup — made up of the 400E, 400D, 400G, and 400M scooters as well as the 703F adventure motorcycle — is now available for pre-orders in all the company’s dealerships nationwide.

To note, Zontes is a premier brand under Guangdong Tayo Motorcycle Technology Company Limited — a company founded in 2003.

Per Bristol Motorcycles, Filipino riders can experience Zontes’ “cutting-edge technology, advanced engineering, and distinctive styling” following the newly-forged collaboration.

“This partnership brings world-class innovation to the local market.  With Bristol’s strong presence, Zontes is set to redefine premium motorcycling in the country.”

Here are the features of the Bristol Zontes lineup.

Powertrain

Propelling all four automatic transmission motorcycles are single-cylinder, single overhead cam, four-valve, liquid-cooled, 400 cubic-centimeter, gasoline-fed engines that have the capacity to provide a churn of:

Maximum output (in horsepower [hp>)	38
Peak torque (in Newton-meters [Nm>)	40

Their stopping power is guaranteed by their braking systems made up of:

• Front: Four-piston radial caliper
• Rear: 220-millimeter rear disc-type

On the other hand, the sole model in manual transmission is equipped with a three-cylinder, double overhead cam, 12-valve liquid-cooled mill that can provide:

Maximum output (in hp)	97
Peak torque (in Nm)	76

Its halts and decelerations are ensured by the brakes comprised of:

• Front: 310-mm floating dual disc type
• Rear: 264-mm disc type

Technologies

The Bristol Zontes 400E, 400D, 400G, and 400M come with the following features:

• LED illumination
• Keyless start
• Dual Riding modes
• USB charging port
• Tire pressure monitoring system
• Underseat compartment that can carry two full-size XXL helmets
• Electronically-adjustable windshield

Just like their appearances, the four Bristol Zontes scooters have varying fuel capacities.
