The BMW XM is too compromised to be a benchmark performance vehicle and too stiff to be a luxury car. I really can’t understand what the engineers had in their minds while designing this vehicle. High-revving motorsport-derived engines and innate chassis balance define M cars. However, the XM is very clumsy to look at. It has failed to deliver a BMW driving experience that could justify the M badge. All my expectations have been shattered at this point in time, and I’m feeling cheated.
