DFSK EC75

If the DFSK EC75’s exterior looks simple and very utilitarian, its interior layout is a whole different story. Inside, you are greeted by a high-tech cabin with a premium-looking wooden trim on its dashboard and soft leather door cards. The driver gets a digital instrument display and a steering wheel with multiple controls. For entertainment and information accessibility, this electric commercial vehicle features a 10.1-inch HD large screen. 

Practicality-wise, its cabin offers plenty of room for the driver and his or her co-pilot. And, at the back, it boasts 1.5 tons of payload capacity, which can effectively accommodate large quantities of cargo. In terms of comfort, its seats offer decent cushioning and ergonomics for commercial vehicle standards. On top of that, it also comes with a cooling and heating storage box, USB Type-C charging port, and a wireless fast charger for your phone. That said, the EC75’s cabin offers an impressive mix of style, practicality, and modern functionality wherever it goes.

In terms of dimensions, the DFSK EC75 measures 5,130 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 2,020 mm in height. This electric commercial vehicle also has a wheelbase of 3,200 mm and a minimum (unladen) ground clearance of 170 mm.

The EC75’s exterior design exudes a balance of modernity and utilitarianism. At the front, it has a no-nonsense look complemented by clean angular headlights, which are connected by a sleek chrome panel. Underneath, the DFSK lettering is proudly displayed. It also sports a black grille, which adds to the straightforwardness of its overall appearance on the road.

On the sides, it features remote-controlled doors for a more premium feel. It runs on 16-inch steel wheels wrapped in heavy-duty reinforced radial tyres, which are designed to withstand harsh road conditions. Similar to the front, its rear is also very utilitarian with its large rectangular taillights and a high-mount third brake light for enhanced visibility, especially at night. 

In terms of suspension, the DFSK EC75 comes with a MacPherson independent-type at the front and a Leaf Spring non-independent type at the rear. In the city, it is quite nimble to maneuver for its size. It effectively soaks up bumps and other minor road imperfections. Overall, it delivers a pleasant riding experience (even with a full load) for commercial vehicle standards.

The DFSK EC75 runs on a single permanent magnet synchronous motor generating 70 kW (94 hp) of peak power and 230 Nm of maximum torque. Feeding its electric motor is a 50.38-kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery that offers a 310-km CLTC electric range and supports a DC fast charging time of 20% to 80% in 45 minutes. It runs on single-speed automatic transmission and utilizes a front-wheel drivetrain.

That said, the EC75 packs quite a punch off the line. It is quite peppy for its size, effectively overtaking slower vehicles on free-flowing highways. While its range is adequate for daily city cargo hauling, it may be less suitable for longer out-of-town journeys. 

Safety is one of the main highlights of the DFSK EC75. It is equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, which includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, speed limit assist, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning. It also features front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree panoramic parking view, among others. This electric commercial vehicle comes with front and rear disc brakes, which are supported by an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control with brake assist and traction control, hill-descent control, and an emergency brake warning.
