Mahindra Enforcer

Along with its rugged facade, Mahindra Enforcer offers an engaging interior environment. The seats are wide and comfortable so that the drivings are not tiresome. The double cab variant provided by Mahindra offers a seating capacity of 5 passengers with comfortable rear seats. The cabin is logically arranged with a sleek steering wheel and easy shift gearbox. Moreover, the audio system plays a great role in entertaining the passengers. This audio system comprises of CD player, AM/FM radio and speakers are front and rear. The audio switches are plotted at the multi-functional steering wheel for the convenience of the driver.

A utility vehicle manufactured by Mahindra is well known for its tough structure and utility factor. At the front, there is a chrome garnished front radiator grille with large lights fixed into a square chrome finished boxes on both the sides which make it an appealing front fascia altogether. The rugged and aggressive look of this drive is complemented by the high-cut fenders with a robust combination of wheels and tires. Alike other models, the doors are tough and wide for an easy entry of the passengers. At the rear, the cargo bed is wide enough to be used for commercial purpose. The overall dimensions of the pickup are 4982 mm x 1815 mm x 1885 mm (L X W X H) along with wheelbase measuring 3014 mm.

Complementing the rugged engine of the Mahindra Enforcer is its equally tough underpinnings. The Enforcer is a ladder-on-frame pickup truck, which came with a rugged suspension setup of independent leaf springs for both front and rear axles. However, while this suspension combination was good for carrying loads, it offered poor comfort levels, making the overall ride quality a bit bouncy. 

Mahindra Enforcer in Filipino auto market is available in single and double cab layout along with an option of 4x2 and 4x4 wheel drive options. Offered in 2.5-litre 4 cylinder diesel engine, Mahindra enforcer delivers the maximum power of 100 hp with the maximum torque of 240 Nm. For all the variants, Mahindra offers same engine specifications with the 5-Speed manual transmission system which enhances its efficiency in power, performance and fuel consumption segments. Moreover, enforcer delivers the decent mileage of 12.2 kmpl in the city and 9.6 kmpl on the road which is pretty decent. The fuel tank capacity of this drive is 56 litres and with the aforementioned mileage, this drive would cover a long distance before taking a halt for refilling.

Mahindra Enforcer in terms of safety is dismissive and inappropriate. Unlike other pickups, Mahindra lacks in providing safety measures to its customers. However, being tough and rigid, the body structure of the enforcer is marked to be safe if an event of collision occurs. Additionally, seat belts are provided for front and rear passengers depending on the variant option.

Verdict

Mahindra Enforcer is a light utility vehicle and is acceptable for its rough and tough facade. However, the biggest turn off for the vehicle is the lack of safety features and interior looks as compared to its rivals in the market.

The Mahindra Enforcer was a very basic pickup truck with a lot of modern features missing, and even the build and fit and finish levels were too plain to meet modern standards, with evident signs of cost-cutting. However, despite its dated appeal, the Enforcer was appreciated for where it mattered the most – the long-term reliability of its diesel engine and excellent load-carrying capacity.
