  • About Mahindra Philippines

    Holding its roots back to India, Mahindra was founded as a steel trading company in Ludhiana. Established in the year 1945, the company has its founders as Jagdish Chandra Mahindra and Kailash Chandra Mahindra with Malik Ghulam Mohammed. However, the company couldn’t strive with the three members as a few years later, Ghulam Mohammed emigrated to Pakistan.

    Left with the two brothers, they changed the name to Mahindra & Mahindra, thereby, extending their roots as the manufacturer of Multi Utility Vehicles (MUV) under its license by the name of Willie's Jeep. Witnessing a strong expansion and growth over the years, in 2011, Mahindra acquired Ssangyong Motor Company, allowing Mahindra & Mahindra to expand its presence to over 90 countries, including the Philippines.

    In the Phillippines, Mahindra Cars are exclusively distributed by Asiabrands Motors Corporation. Currently, Mahindra is in ties with Philippine National Police (PNP), supplying around 1,470 units of configured Bolero pick-ups, under the name Enforcer, termed to serve as the official patrol car for the police.

    Moreover, Mahindra also enjoys its share of being the world’s largest tractor company by volumes. The company has been awarded the Deming Application Award and Japan Quality medals for its quality build and strong performance. Moreover, the vehicle is also celebrated for its high levels of fuel efficiency.
      
    Due to its drawbar pull ability, these tractors are extensively employed in Palm, Rubber, and Sugar plantations due to their heavy pulling ability. For their upcoming future plans, Mahindra plans to expand its dealership throughout the Philippines. The companies have now three dealerships for sales and service, located in Metro Manila. 

    Currently, the brand is offering three vehicles in its lineup. Mahindra Philippines has a line-up of 2 SUV, namely Mahindra Xylo, Scorpio, 1 Pickup Truck by the name Enforcer. Lastly, for future plans, Mahindra is looking forward to stepping into electrification.
