Its local debut represents a significant step in Kawasaki’s aim to go all-electric by 2035. This lightweight electric sport motorcycle offers a balance of riding enjoyment and everyday usability, combining exciting, emission-free performance with city-friendly characteristics. Priced at ₱624,000, the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 comes in a single tri-tone colour finish: Metallic Bright Silver/Metallic Matte Lime Green/Ebony.

Kawasaki Ninja E-1 Design
For starters, the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 measures 1,980 mm in length, 690 mm in width, 1,105 mm in overall height, and 785 mm in seat height. This electric sport motorcycle also comes with a 1,370-mm wheelbase and a 160-mm ground clearance.
The Kawasaki Ninja e-1 gives off a big-bike aura while remaining approachable for novice riders, thanks to its lightweight Trellis frame. Its design is loud and subtle at the same time. Similar to other larger ICE-powered Ninja models, the e-1 also features a sharp, confident-looking fascia flanked by LED headlamps that display an elegant crystal effect. It also comes with side fairing-mounted signal lights, a transparent windscreen, and sturdy mirrors finished in black. Underneath, it comes with a body-coloured front fender with pointy edges.
On the sides, it displays a stylish contrast of colours, highlighted by its blacked-out naked elements, sporty Ninja branding decals, and some lime green accents. This electric sport motorcycle is fitted with 17-inch wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres. Meanwhile, at the rear, it features a modern-looking LED tail lamp with a unique shape, along with another pair of sturdy turn signals and multiple reflectors.
Up front, the rider has access to a 4.3-inch all-digital TFT colour instrument display that enables smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki’s RIDEOLOGY app. The rider’s seat offers decent cushioning and support, while the pillion seat is relatively thin and narrow. As a result, it may compromise the comfort level of taller or larger passengers on long rides. On the plus side, the e-1 comes with well-placed metal pillion foot rests, making stop-and-go traffic conditions more tolerable for your OBR.
Aside from that, the rider also gets foot-forward footpegs that help him or her maintain a naturally relaxed riding position at all times. In terms of practicality, the e-1 comes with a tank-mounted storage box that offers 5 liters of space for important documents and other handheld belongings. For added comfort and convenience, this electric sport motorcycle also comes with a Walk mode, which assists you when maneuvering in a parking lot.
Ninja E-1 Ride & Handling
The Kawasaki Ninja e-1 is equipped with a Telescopic Fork suspension at the front and a Bottom-Link Uni-Trak at the rear. This electric sport motorcycle is lightweight and very nimble to maneuver in the city, even through tight traffic and narrow streets. It also absorbs small to medium-sized bumps and other minor road imperfections quite well, resulting in a pleasant experience for you and your pillion.
Kawasaki Ninja E-1 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Kawasaki Ninja e-1 runs on an electric motor with a 5-kWh rated power that generates 12 PS of maximum power and 40.5 Nm of maximum torque. Feeding its electric motor are dual removable Lithium-Ion batteries (capacity: 30 Ah each) that offer an approximate range of 72 km. Each of these batteries can be charged from 0 to 100% in 3.7 hours. This electric sport motorcycle comes mated to a single-speed reduction gear with direct chain drive and is equipped with two riding modes: Road and Eco.
That said, the e-1 is surprisingly very peppy for a 125cc-class equivalent motorcycle. Its electric powertrain offers smooth, instantaneous power delivery, allowing you to cruise at high speeds without any worries. Spirited riders will also appreciate its e-boost function, which offers stronger acceleration and an increased top speed (105 km/h under Road mode). Its range is just enough for short work commutes or leisure trips.
Ninja E-1 Braking & Safety
In terms of braking, the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 is equipped with front and rear single disc brakes with a pair of dual-piston calipers. Its braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system.
Kawasaki Ninja E-1 Verdict
The Kawasaki Ninja e-1 presents itself as a compelling option for discerning buyers seeking a premium electric motorcycle that delivers both exciting performance and everyday city usability. If Kawasaki addresses its current flaws and shortcomings, the e-1 has the potential to become more competitive in its segment moving forward.
