2015 Tokyo Motor Show: Toyota to Showcase New Hydrogen Tech based FCV Concept
MANILA: Toyota is all set to come up with its all new FCV concept, driven by the hydrogen fuel. It is the latest advancement in the field of hydrogen powered vehicles. Toyota is well known for producing world-class compact Eco-friendly vehicles and now it is coming with a new car based on hydrogen power technology. The FCV Plus concept car is all prepared to be showcased at this year's Tokyo Motor show.
The FCV Plus concept comes with an absolute futuristic design with tall roofline, Sharp angles and large glass area. The front profile consists of fender mounted headlights. The overall exterior dimension of this car measures 3800 mm in length, 1750 in width and 1540 mm in height.
The only thing that seems to be absent in this concept car is the dashboard. The steering wheel appears somewhat large and square-shaped. Also, the head-up display replaces the conventional gauges and dials, making the car look completely unique.
Moreover, the FCV Plus Concept is powered by four in-wheel motor with fuel cell stack located around the front wheels. It works on energy generated by hydrogen, as a small tank filled with hydrogen is installed behind the rear seats. The interior packaging is completely effective and decent.
However, this FCV Plus Concept won't make much production but the technology might be applied on future Toyota models.
