24 LTO branches now online for application, renewal of driver’s license

MANILA: Apply online for a new driver’s license or renew your expired one in any of the 24 LTO (Land Transportation Office) branches nationwide.

This is after the agency implemented the LTMS (Land Transport Management System) that will allow motorists to submit an application or renew a driver’s or conductor’s license, and other miscellaneous transactions.

Booking appointments and payments can also be done online after registering at portal.lto.gov.ph.

For now, applications for a student permit is on hold until 03 August in order to train for the processes required for this specific transaction.

“We are fast-tracking necessary preparations so that more LTO offices will be equipped with the LTMS. Rest assured that while we shift to the new normal, we will surely adapt to digitalization. That’s where we are heading,” said LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante.

Next week, the agency is set to pilot-test the LTMS to facilitate online motor vehicle registration.
