ACMobility launches Power-on-Wheels

MANILA: ACMobility has rolled out a mobile electric vehicle (EV) charging station, which it calls Power-on-Wheels (POW).

Through POW, the Ayala-owned mobility company looks to provide easier access to fast charging, especially to those without nearby charging stations.

“As ACMobility continues rolling out fixed charging, we are committed to developing innovative solutions to address the infrastructure concerns of EV owners. Power-on-Wheels makes adopting the EV lifestyle easier by offering a convenient, mobile charging solution that complements ACMobility’s growing network of EV charging stations. This service brings charging directly to customers where and when they need it, making EV charging more accessible for people of various lifestyles,” ACMobility Chief Executive Officer Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala said in a statement.

“As we continue to expand our infrastructure, we are excited to play a pivotal role in supporting the shift toward transformative transportation and making EV ownership a seamless experience for everyone,” he added.

POW vans

POW was developed in partnership with Power Up Tech, a Singapore-based mobile EV charging station company.

It is equipped with onboard fast direct current (DC) chargers, POW can cater to both full battery electric vehicles and select plug-in hybrids.

POW has a charging capacity of up to 120 kilowatt-hours and is compatible with vehicles that have a CCS2 standard plug.

ACMobility initially deployed several POW units inthe following areas: 

• Makati
• Mandaluyong
• Taguig

Soon, the company plans to expand the mobile charging stations’ reach by offering services to more places across the country.

POW services can be easily accessed and availed via the Evro app. Evro is ACMobility’s eMobility Service Provider partner that unifies the charging experience across the country through a single platform.

To celebrate POW’s launch, ACMobility is offering an exclusive promo for POW subscribers.

With the POW3000 promo, customers can get a P3,000 discount on their first month. It is a limited-time offer that will run until June 25, 2025.
