Aston Martin to run its 100th WEC race with Valkyrie
Marque has competed in WEC since its founding in 2012
MANILA: Aston Martin is set to compete at the Six Hours of Fuji endurance race this coming September 28, 2025, with the Valkyrie Hypercar. The British-made speedster’s participation at the said event marks Aston Martin’s 100th race at the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Aston Martin will field the Valykie at the upcoming 2025 Six Hours of Fuji.Notably, the Gaydon-headquartered manufacturer has been present at all 99 previous WEC competitions since its founding in 2012.
In years past, the brand has attained a total of 53 class victories and 11 world championship titles at WEC. The marque has also gained five previous class wins at the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans.
“Aston Martin is honoured to be participating in the 100th WEC race,” Head of Endurance Motorsport at Aston Martin, Adam Carter said.
“Since the beginning, Aston Martin understood the value and the power of a global endurance campaign and WEC has been an essential part of our race programme since its introduction,” Carter added.
“For Aston Martin, this is also an important race. 100 consecutive events over 13 years of competition is a clear demonstration of our commitment to endurance racing – a value that can be traced all the way back to the very beginnings of the brand,” Carter added further.

Aston Martin Valkyrie: WEC Specs
The Aston Martin Valkyrie race vehicle set to enter the Six Hours of Fuji will be piloted and crewed by the Thor Team.
Propelling the vehicle is a 6.5-liter V12 engine capable of producing 680 horsepower (hp) per WEC regulations. The regular Valkyrie, however, can generate up to 1,000 hp. Power is sent to its rear wheels via an Xtrac seven-speed sequential transmission.
