MANILA: At least three automotive distributors in the Philippines have extended help in Cebu following the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that erupted there.

Through the joint efforts of BYD Cars Philippines, BYD Philippines, and BYD Cebu, earthquake-stricken communities in Bogo City, San Remigio, Catmon, Daanbantayan, Medellin, Tabogon, and Tabuelan have received help.
Photo from ACMobilityIn partnership with the BYD Cebu Owners Group, a fleet of 24 BYD Cebu Owners Group vehicles — consisting of the Sealion 6 DM-i, Sealion 5 DM-i, Shark 6 DMO, and Atto 3 — delivered relief goods such as bottled water, food, tents, blankets, medicines, and toiletries to affected communities and provided much needed electricity on-site by utilizing their vehicles’ vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology.
Aside from that, the Ayala Foundation Incorporated also brought its #BrigadangAyala assistance to the said locations.

For his part, BYD Philippines Country Head Adam Hu said that collective initiative “is not just about moving people, but also about empowering communities in times of need.” “By combining resources with innovation, we aim to provide meaningful support to Filipinos.”
Isuzu
Meanwhile, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) and its Cebu dealer Iconic Dealership Incorporated (IDI) gave relief supplies for 200 families in Barangay Poblacion, San Remigio. Isuzu Mobile Medic trucks, which are usually used to provide on-site vehicle assistance, were repurposed to deliver vital supplies to affected residents.

Meanwhile, VinFast Philippines and Green GSM shared that it has handed over to Cebu Governor Patricia Baricuatro a total of P10 million as donation.

With a strong sense of corporate social responsibility, we see this support not just as a duty, but as a meaningful way to contribute to the community,” VinFast Chief Executive Officer for Southeast Asia said.
Green GSM Philippines Managing Director Dao Quy Phi mentioned that as soon as they “received the call for help from the Cebu authorities”, the firm immediately mobilized to provide tangible support. “We believe that the direct involvement of our drivers will help relief resources reach the people faster and more efficiently, reflecting Green GSM’s long-term commitment to standing with the local community.”
