BYD Cars PH opens its first-ever Experience Hub

MANILA: The first-ever BYD Experience Hub in the Philippines has formally opened at Glorietta 1, Ayala Center, Makati City. Operated by Iconic Dealership Incorporated, ACMobility’s retail arm, it offers an accessible way for those interested to learn more about BYD Cars Philippines' lineup of vehicles and technologies.

Displayed inside the new facility are examples of the marque’s electric vehicle (EV) units, including the Tang sports utility vehicle and Dolphin hatchback. Visitors may also get up close and personal with the Sealion 6 Dual Mode-intelligent (DM-i), the brand’s premier plug-in hybrid model.

The mall-based facility also features numerous educational interactive displays highlighting the brand’s array of EV and hybrid technologies. Notable examples include a mockup of the BYD Dolphin’s chassis, complete with an electronic motor and a representation of the Blade battery. A section is dedicated to showing the ins and outs of the DM-i system in clear detail.

Another section of the hub has an interactive display shelf showcasing the various color options available for each BYD nameplate. This section features several painted blocks that offer a sneak peek at how a specific model would look in different colors.

Also present is a merch store offering BYD-branded goodies, as well as a café and lounge area to entertain clients and guests.

Like a stand-alone dealership outlet, the hub allows customers to book test drives, call for assistance from vehicle experts, and acquire model brochures. The difference is that these activities can be done automatically through large touchscreen standees scattered around the hub.

Additionally, the brand’s experience hub functions as an outlet that facilitates the sale of brand-new BYD vehicles. Vehicle servicing, however, is handled at other dealerships.

“Filipinos are increasingly seeking more from electrified mobility, and together with ACMobility and BYD Cars Philippines, we’re delivering exactly that with the opening of our innovative BYD Experience Hub,” Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines Bob Anthony Palanca said. 

“This hub not only meets the evolving needs of Filipinos but also sets a standard for the future of sustainable transportation in the Philippines,” Palanca added. 

For those who want to visit the BYD Experience Hub, be aware that it is open from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
