BYD to establish presence in 77 locations nationwide this 2025

MANILA: BYD Cars Philippines is keen on opening more than 70 dealerships in the country this year.

In a statement, the ACMobility-led vehicle distributor shared that it already has 77 confirmed locations for the country — which will cover key locations in Metro Manila, Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

The aforementioned target is part of its ongoing efforts to make its electrified offerings more accessible to buyers nationwide.

“We are excited to see the continued growth of BYD in the Philippines as it expands its presence across the nation,” BYD Cars Philippines Managing Director Bob Palanca said.

 “Both ACMobility and BYD are committed to empowering Filipinos by providing access to innovative transportation solutions that support a sustainable, forward-thinking future,” he added.

Part of the number are the inauguration of nine new dealerships and groundbreaking ceremonies on three new locations.

Dealership openings

In the Luzon grid alone, BYD has already opened six new dealerships during the first four months of the year.

These are:

• BYD Manila Bay

Managed by Iconic Dealership, Incorporated, (ACMobility’s retail arm), the latest BYD full-service facility is located at Aseana City in Parañaque.

Currently the Philippines' largest BYD showroom and service center, the said facility has 3,000 square meters (sqm) of floor area made up of two display floors capable of showcasing 18 cars, as well as a service area that has 11 workbays.

Further, BYD Manila Bay will provide up to eight AC and two DC fast chargers for use by BYD customers and the general public.

• BYD Batangas

The newly-opened establishment is the fourth BYD dealership under Harmony Auto Philippines. Notably, the company also handles the marque’s Commonwealth, Fairview, and Global City showroom and service center.

The brand’s local arm shared that the new facility created more than 60 job opportunities in Batangas City.

• BYD Chinatown

Said to be the first-ever car dealership in the heart of Binondo, the new facility features a display space for seven vehicles,10 service bays and charging options (including two AC chargers and one DC fast charger).

• BYD Alabang

Located at One Prime Tower in Muntinlupa, the 1,811-sqm, two-floored BYD Alabang can highlight up to eight BYD vehicles, and a service area with five bays.

Meanwhile, BYD Cars Philippines is now present Visayas and Mindanao via:

• BYD Iloilo

Steered by Central EV Incorporated, BYD Iloilo is the city’s first-ever electric vehicle brand dealership.

It boasts a nine-car display area, service area with six bays, 150-kilowatt (kw) DC charger, and 22-kw AC chargers.

• BYD Negros

Situated at Barangay Zone 15, Talisay City, in Negros Occidental, the 4,000-sqm facility under VCY Mobility Ventures has nine service bays and a 100-kw solar installation.

It is ready to provide services such as general maintenance and charging support.

• BYD Cagayan De Oro

The BYD facility in Mindanao is located at Kilometer 3, Kauswagan National Highway, in Cagayan De Oro.

Owned by Magnet Motors Corporation, BYD Cagayan de Oro has six service bays and a dedicated cafe for its customers.

Groundbreaking rites

Aside from the dealer openings, BYD Cars Philippines also broke ground in new areas, particularly at the following sites:

• Baliwag
• Carmona
• Dasmarinas
• La Union

The firm also noted that the brand’s collaboration with SEAelectric Philippines Incorporated (a Seaoil Philippines affiliate), highlights the collaboration of diverse businesses sharing common sustainability goals.

“We’re incredibly excited to open these new dealerships across the Philippines and bring the BYD brand closer to more Filipinos nationwide. This expansion allows us to showcase our innovative electric and hybrid vehicles to more regions, offering customers nationwide more opportunities to switch to electrified mobility,” Palanca added.
