Caltex launches premium diesel for SUV, pickup trucks

MANILA: Caltex, through its marketer Chevron Philippines Incorporated (CPI), has introduced Power Diesel with Techron D fuel.

Compared to Caltex’s regular diesel, newest product at the pump delivers twice the cleaning power as it is formulated with double the dose of Techron D. It stops performance-robbing deposits from building up in engines and recovers all lost power after just two full tanks.

The Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D is suitable for the expanding sport utility vehicle (SUV) and pickup truck market with new common rail diesel mills. It is also ideal for older cars because it can help improve engine performance, clean fuel injectors, and increase fuel efficiency.

“Keeping your engine clean will improve your vehicle’s fuel economy and provide efficient engine power to help you reach more places and farther distances for much less fuel cost. Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D is the most advanced product offering from Caltex that is sure to help diesel car owners bring life and power back to their overworked engines,” CPI Country Chairman Billy Liu stated.

The Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D passed four industry-recognized engine and laboratory tests: the clean test, the power test, the corrosion test, and the foam test.

In the clean and power tests, the Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D produced higher improvement response, more flow and power, and better injector flow versus regular diesel with no additives.

The corrosion test indicated that the Techron D formula can prevent rust on metal surfaces by creating a layer of protection against corrosive elements. Meanwhile, in the foam test, the Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D was able to get rid of foam and achieve a quicker collapse  time for a cleaner and faster filling experience.

The Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D is compatible with various diesel specifications, including biodiesel blends.

Caltex’s latest premium diesel is now available in select cities across the Philippines.
