Ferrari resumes production
MANILA: After shutting down its factory and swapping the production of cars in favor of respirator valves and fittings for protective masks for use in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Italian super carmaker Ferrari is poised to fully resume vehicle production on May 8.
In a release, Ferrari said that this move is aligned with government regulations, and the firm is "sparing no effort" to prepare for the resumption of operations via its "Back on Track" program, said to reflect the company's "deep commitment to its people first and foremost."
Ferrari aims to safely resume operations during this time of the pandemic by introducing guidelines and rules to govern conduct in common areas, as well as through the replanning of areas, and offering "voluntary serological tests"— the last already having commenced in the last few weeks.
In connection with the changes, Ferrari has also conducted training sessions for workers to explain the new precautionary and safety measures.
