Frankfurt 2015: Alfa Romeo Guilia Comes On Stage

MANILA: The Italian auto brand, Alfa Romeo has officially held the world debut of Guilia at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Guilia with all its Italian aesthetics and engineering, fall in the segment of high-performance compact sedans and will go on sale by 2016.

The signature trefoil grill in pair with sweeping headlights, sharp looking hood and vented bumper immediately catches attention. The active aero splitter which manages down-force and enables better cornering is again a striking utility feature. Over to the side, there are well defined character lines, side skirts and alloy wheels which indeed complete its look. On the rear, there are trunk mounted spoiler, LED taillights, bumper-integrated diffuser, and quad exhausts.

The details of interior remain scarce but Alfa Romeo says that it will be upholstered in both leather and Alcantara. Other features include partially wrapped Alcantara steering wheel, media display and dual gauge cluster. Powering the Quadrifoglio-spec Giulia is a 2.9-litre turbo V6 which said to deliver 510 PS and 600 Nm of torque. Alfa Romeo says that this turbo V6 carries 'Ferrari-inspired technology and expertise' which allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds before hitting the top speed of 307 km/h.

With curb weight of 1534 kg and 50:50 weight distribution between front and rear axles, this car is set to compete directly with high-end sedans like Mercedes C63 AMG and BMW M3. The price figures are expected to be near about PhP 4.16 million.
