Diesel, meanwhile, will see a larger hike of P1.96 per liter. Lastly, kerosene is expected to increase its per-liter price by P1.45.

Notably, last week’s fuel price update (effective May 19, 2026) was also a price increase. To recall, gasoline, diesel, and kerosene saw a per-liter price increase of P1.21, P2.82, and P2.21, respectively.
Relatedly, the Department of Energy is cooperating with fuel companies in promoting discount programs that will no doubt be useful for those who drive for a living. These programs apply to public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers, transport network vehicle service (TNVS) drivers, delivery riders, and other motorists.
Photo from Department of Energy, Facebook pageThese discounts, however, are not available at all fuel providers in the Philippines. As of May 25, 2026, the said offers listed by DOE on its social media pages are offered by companies such as Caltex, Shell, Petron, Seaoil, PTT, and Unioil.
For its part, the DOE also releases regular updates on discount days and loyalty programs offered by these fuel companies.
As of this publication (May 25), Caltex is offering a P2.50 discount on gasoline, P1.50 on diesel, and up to P10 on lubricants.
Shell, meanwhile, already has a PUV-exclusive discount program in place for May 26, which offers P5 less per liter for diesel and P8 less per liter for gasoline. Petron also has its Super Driver Card, an ongoing program that slashes P0.50 off all fuel purchases.
