GWM PH taps Visayas market with newly opened-facility

MANILA: Great Wall Motor (GWM) Philippines has further expanded its nationwide reach by opening its newest dealership in Cebu.

Managed by TJ Ventures, the sales facility is located at the Ground Floor Annex of Qimonda IT Center, NRA, Mabolo in Cebu City. The Chinese automaker’s local distributor considers its presence in the Queen City of the South “a major milestone in its regional investment and customer outreach strategy” given that Cebu is a key economic and cultural hub.

It also underscores the marque’s pledge to “establishing a strong and accessible network across the country.”

“Opening in Cebu is more than just a business move — it’s a testament to our confidence in the Visayas market and our desire to connect with Cebuanos who are looking for reliable, stylish, and future-ready mobility options,” GWM Philippines Brand Head and Marketing Director Dax Avenido was quoted saying.

Strong retail momentum

Relatedly, the company also shared that its vehicle sales for the past two months showed an upward momentum.

Without sharing specific data, GWM Philippines noted that its retail performance last April exceeded by around 125 percent followed by a 24 percent month-on-month growth in May 2025.

“These achievements are a reflection of the unwavering support from our valued customers, the dedication of our dealer principals, and the relentless commitment of the GWM Philippines team to deliver excellence in every drive,” the firm said in a statement.
