GWM PH surpasses Apr. 2025 sales target by 125%

MANILA: Great Wall Motor (GWM) Philippines has surpassed its sales target last month by 125 percent.

According to the local wing of the Chinese carmaker, the said feat is a testament to the growing trust and excitement among Filipino customers and marks another high point for GWM Philippines as it continues to gain traction in a competitive automotive market.

“As we step into May, we carry this momentum with confidence,” GWM Philippines Brand Head and Marketing Director Dax Avenido said in a press release.

“The passion, hard work, and collaboration across our network empower us to aim higher and reach further. We are committed to sustaining this growth by offering top-notch vehicles at an affordable price that exceed expectations and redefine value in the Filipino automotive landscape,” he noted.

Just recently, the company presented the latest version of the GWM Cannon (dubbed as China’s best-selling pickup truck) and the Haval H9, an upmarket-looking sport utility vehicle, at this year’s Manila International Auto Show.

The first 100 customers to purchase the new GWM Cannon will receive free preventive maintenance service for five years — on top of the brand’s seven-year warranty.

“This offer underscores our ongoing commitment to providing maximum value, reliability, and peace of mind to every GWM owner,” the company wrote in a press statement.

“GWM Philippines remains steadfast in its mission to deliver world-class mobility solutions — blending advanced technology, safety, and modern design — while ensuring an exceptional ownership experience for every Filipino driver,” it added.

GWM sells more than 100K units globally in April

Globally, GWM has also achieved a milestone by selling more than 100,000 units in April alone.

The company has turned over a total of 100,061 vehicles to its customers worldwide.

Of the said number, 28,813 were new-energy vehicles. This reflected a 28.42-percent year-on-year growth for the said segment.

Meanwhile, some 43,182 units came from “boxy” vehicles, which represented a 24.74-percent increase for the said automobile division.
