 The GWM H9 is a large-sized SUV that looks similar to the premium flagship SUVs manufactured by luxury automakers. The front of this vehicle is defined by its square headlights with daytime round LED running lights. At the rear, a side-opening tailgate, vertically arranged square taillights and a spare external tire box reinforce the rugged appearance of this vehicle. It measures 856 mm in length,1926 mm in width, and 1900 mm in height. It features a bold grille with a central “HAVAL” logo and thick horizontal chrome bars. The blocky headlamps are a bit curvy at the outer and upper edges and they look premium with the daytime running LEDs and projector bulbs below them.

The upright conventional stance with a high ground clearance and lifted front bonnet give it a large vehicle appeal. The rounded wheel arches also give it a formidable look. However, the alloy wheels seem to be very simple. The rear profile is glorified by the vertical tail lamps that look like a Christmas tree on the outer edges, along with a trapezoidal housing for the license plate and roof spoiler at the top.
