Here’s what you need to know with the upcoming Jetour X70 Lightning i-DM

MANILA: Jetour Auto Philippines Incorporated (JAPI) expressed its readiness in introducing the plug-in hybrid version of the X70.

Based on its latest announcement, the company is urging customers to pre-order for the Jetour X70 Lightning i-DM. The reservation period started last February 8.

Initial vehicle specifications

Upon checking the company website, JAPI already gave some bits of information about the vehicle.

According to the company, the arriving model will have the following measurements:

One of the distinct exterior elements of the Jetour X70 Lightning i-DM is the redesigned grille as it now comes with a honeycomb-like arrangement (instead of the horizontal bars seen in the current offering) to match the new headlight design. Its fog lamps have also been adjusted and its wheels now have a different look as well.

Inside, the JAPI said that the vehicle has a roomy cabin that when the third-row seats are folded, it gives space equivalent to a double-sized bed.

Powering the Jetour X70 Lightning i-DM are dual motors (electric and internal combustion engine) that allows the vehicle to dish out the following figures:

The vehicle can be had in any of the following color options:

• Coral White in Mocha Interior
• Jade Green in Burgundy Interior
• Marble Gray in Mocha Interior
• Pebble Gray in Burgundy Interior

Customers may reserve a unit by paying P5,000 through an online reservation sheet— accessible through the QR code seen below.

JAPI has yet to reveal the electrified crossover’s full specifications as well as the pricing.

However, JAPI — under the leadership of its managing director, Miguelito Jose —mentioned that although it is a seven-seater product, the Jetour X70 Lightning i-DM will have the pricing of a  five-seater SUV.
