MANILA: Honda Foundation Incorporated (HFI), the charitable arm of Honda Philippines Incorporated (HPI), has mobilized to provide aid to the residents of Cebu who have been negatively affected by Typhoon Tino.

HFI mobilized to provide aid to Liloan, Cebu, due to the recent Typhoon Tino, which interrupted the area’s water supply.Per HFI, a total of 11 municipalities in Cebu have had their water supply interrupted due to strong rains and heavy winds. And even after a week, none of the area’s water supply has been restored.
As a response to this, HFI, together with its associates from the Cebu branch of HPI, donated 20,160 1.5-liter bottles of drinking water to 1,680 families in Barangay Cotcot, Liloan, Cebu. Residents of the barangay, together with their Captain, Hon. Martin Yungco, directly received the aid from HFI.
“We at Honda are so saddened to hear that our fellow Filipinos in Cebu have been hit with another tragic calamity,” President of HFI and Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated (HCPI) Rie Miyake said.
“We would like to reach out and offer our sympathies to all affected and sincerely hope that they are finally able to recover soon,” Miyake added.

Back in October 2025, HFI, also with HPI associates, provided aid to residents of Cebu who were displaced by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake - the strongest of its kind ever recorded in the northern part of the said region.
