Honda WR-V now available in Thailand

MANILA: Honda Automobile Thailand Co., Ltd. has officially launched the new Honda WR-V, the brand's latest SUV that features an exceptionally athletic design and offers a premium, modern feel.

    The Honda WR-V has  a sleek, sporty design that exudes a contemporary vibe to keep up with the modern lifestyle. The Honda WR-V is designed with a chrome grille, an automatic headlight on-off system, LED sequential front turn signals, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, adjustable and electric folding side mirrors with turn signals, shark fin antenna, and 16-inch alloy wheels.

    The Honda WR-V RS variant takes the sporty looks to the next level with exclusive design elements such as a sporty chrome front grille distinguished by the RS symbol, LED front fog lights, automatic folding side mirrors, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

    The Honda WR-V also comes with a spacious interior with foldable second-row seats that add usable space. Other interior features include height-adjustable driver’s seat, leather steering wheel, automatic air conditioning system with fast cooling and wind direction mode, front armrest, sun visor with mirror for driver and front passenger, dimming rearview mirror, 4.2-inch TFT driving information display, seven-inch touchscreen audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, electric windows with automatic up and down system on the driver's side, storage compartment behind the front passenger seat, six cup holders, two USB ports, hanger in the rear cargo area, two-position interior lights, and luggage compartment light.

    The RS variant, on the other hand, features Piano black interior trim and Piano black trim with red stripes. It also comes with a stainless steel staircase at the front door with RS symbol, front and rear armrests, sunvisor illumination for the driver and front passenger, paddle shift, and Honda Connect technology.

    The Honda WR-V is powered by a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The engine produces a maximum power of 121hp and provides a good fuel economy rate of 16.7km/L, supporting E20 alternative energy.

    The Honda WR-V comes standard with the Honda Sensing, a suite of intelligent safety technologies that include Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Auto High-Beam (AHB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN).

    Other safety features include Honda LaneWatch; dual front, front side, and side curtain airbags; Walk Away Auto Lock; rear-seat reminder; Multi-Angle Rearview Camera; central locking system; seat belt warning system for driver and front passenger; immobilizer key system with anti-theft alarm; emergency stop signal (ESS); hill start assist (HSA); anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD); G-CON body structure; Isofix; and LED third brake light.

    Pricing for the Honda WR-V ranges from THB799,000 to THB869,000 (approximately P1.2 million to P1.3 million).
