Hyundai Virtual Guide – Owner’s soft copy manual

MANILA: After Audi, Hyundai has become the next or to be more specific the only mainstream automaker in the US to offer a virtual owner's manual. As for Audi that offers an augmented reality app called eKurzinfo in the UK for only three of its models, Hyundai has started the tradition with Sonata. Available in 16 different trim levels, all of which are scanned and perfectly stored in the app. This Virtual Guide will be available on both Apple App and Google Play.

But as per info, Hyundai will not restrict itself to Sonata and in near feature we'll get to see other models to joining the guide. As for 2015 Sonata, owner's will get more than 700 pages manual that will end the most common point of confusion at fingertips. Adding one more to-do task for your smartphone and tablet. So, after choosing your exact vehicle trim, there are several options that will serve different needs and help you know the engine, interior, exterior front/rear, rear seat etc. better.

For example, if you wish to scan the under hood specifications, all you have to do is open the bonnet and place the tablet screen over the pre-scanned image, in a matter of minutes you'll be able to virtually identify engine oil, coolant, washer fluid, brake fluid, and air filter. Press the box in the display and you'll get a step-by-step process to attend each system. Similarly, on placing the tablet screen on instrument binnacle, you will get full information about each and every indication light. Press any of them and the app will explain what the light means and what to do when it appears.

In addition, the app also contains 82 how-to videos, six 3D overlay images and more than 50 informational guides.
