Infiniti teases first-ever QX55 crossover coupe

MANILA: Infiniti has revealed a teaser photo of the all-new QX55 luxury crossover coupe. This was supposed to be in the market this year but, because of the pandemic, is set to go on sale in 2021.

Using a coupe-like roofline, the QX55 should be based on the compact QX50 SUV and might even use the powertrain, a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that puts out 268hp, and a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The teaser image simply shows the tail end of the sloping roof and a very dynamic set of taillights.

It should be a little bigger than the QX50 as Infiniti claims it will have the versatility of a “mid-size crossover” and also offer “innovative technologies designed to empower, engage and connect luxury customers to the road ahead.”

Infiniti is set to debut the QX55 quite fittingly at 5:55 p.m. (PST) on November 11 in the INFINITI Media Newsroom. That will be 8:55 a.m. Philippine Standard Time.

The QX55 will be in other markets right after it arrives in US dealerships between March to June of 2021.
