Jaguar Land Rover outlines safety protocols ahead of dealership reopening

MANILA: All British Cars (ABC), the exclusive official dealership of Land Rover and Jaguar accessories, components, and vehicles in the Philippines, is doing its best to prepare for the reopening of its dealership from May 16 (for sales) and May 18 (for service and parts). Thus, ABC has released the essential precautionary guidelines to ensure that all areas in the dealership are regularly sanitized and well-maintained.

Since the safety and health of the employees and customers is the main priority of ABC, it urges customers for both service maintenance and inquiries to schedule an appointment with the dealership before visiting. The aftersales and sales representatives can accommodate appointment bookings and customer inquiries from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays to Saturdays. Through this, the needs of customers can be efficiently accommodated upon arrival, and social distancing is maintained.

Customers can expect that all high-contact surfaces in the lounge area will be thoroughly disinfected. Instruments and toolboxes used for servicing the vehicles, workbenches, and desks will be regularly sanitized as well.

Employees will undergo disinfection and temperature scanning in tents, and they will be provided with face masks before entering the premises of the dealership. They are also required to use gloves when servicing vehicles.

Sanitizers will also be placed at the entry points of service areas and showrooms. Test drive units will be cleaned and disinfected thoroughly, especially before and after every test drive.

Additional measures will be enforced in the aftersales area to make sure that the vehicle of the client is handled in the safest possible way.

Vehicles brought to the workshop will undergo complimentary disinfection before being returned to the owner. The interior of the car, especially the air-conditioning and infotainment controls, handles, gear stick, steering wheel, dashboard, as well as the fuel caps, also need to be carefully disinfected.

Keys will also be sanitized before official turnover to the client. Plastic seat covers will also be placed for the protection of the interior throughout the client’s visit to the dealership. Moreover, wire transfers and cashless payments are highly recommended during transactions.
