Jetour F700 to enter PH?

MANILA: Jetour Auto Philippines Incorporated (JAPI) might be entering pickup truck segment soon with the F700.

While the company has yet announce details about its arrival, the aforementioned nameplate was seen at the Department of Energy list of accredited electrified vehicles in the country.  

Once it is officially sold in the country, the model will go toe-to-toe against the likes of the BYD Shark 6 DM-O and the Changan Hunter.

Here’s what the model is expected to have based on the specifications shared by the energy department.

Powering this plug-in hybrid vehicle are two electric motors with a 34.13-kilowatt-hour battery and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with a 100-liter fuel tank that acts as a range extender. The mill can dish out a maximum of 683.9 horsepower and an emissions-free range of 109 kilometers.

With three drive modes to choose from (Eco, Normal, Sport), power is sent to the wheels using a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission.

The IP67-rated energy bank can be juiced up using a CCS2 charger.

Stopping power comes from disc brakes (ventilated at the front and solid for the rear).
