All-new Mitsubishi Pajero to honor off-road heritage

MANILA: Ahead of its scheduled launch in the final quarter of 2026, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) shared that the all-new Pajero will provide exceptional comfort and uncompromising capability.

Based on its latest teaser, the Japanese automaker shared that the returning nameplate’s latest version will offer a refined, comfortable ride while continuing to deliver authentic off-road capability with a suspension system and “performance-proven ladder frame.”

MMC noted that these two features will ensure the returning model can tackle rough terrains and suppress unwanted body movement and vibration in any road condition.

Additionally, the returning vehicle will feature the proprietary Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) technology that optimizes handling, off-road capability, and stability across varying driving scenarios.

“At its essence, the Pajero fuses uncompromising capability with exceptional comfort, carrying you confidently to any destination, wherever the terrain takes you,” the company posted on the model’s dedicated website.

“The Pajero honors its heritage through innovation — delivering uncompromising comfort and confidence on every journey.”

Earlier, the firm shared that the model will have the digital multi-meter—a nod to the old-generation’s triple gauge pod.

Also, the first-ever teaser showed an LED daytime running lamp design similar to the Xforce and the Destinator.

Zigwheels Philippines is still looking forward to learning more about the vehicle’s interior (which will likely come with a seven-seat configuration) and powertrain (if it will have a turbocharged diesel engine).
