Kaicene PH unveils P879K 7-seater SUV

MANILA: Berjaya Auto Asia Incorporated (BAAI), the official distributor of Kaicene commercial vehicles in the Philippines, has officially launched the all-new CX70 seven-seater sports utility vehicle (SUV).

The Kaicene CX70 is the newest family and business mover, said to provide power, space, and dependability. It is positioned to be a robust and reliable partner that families and business owners can rely on, whether for work or pleasure.

The CX70 is a positioned as a gorgeously designed and feature-packed seven-seater SUV that offers the best value-for-money proposition in its segment. It was introduced to give Filipinos a safe mode of transport that will help them fulfill their family and business needs.

There is no shortage of space when it comes to the all-new CX70. It is the longest, widest, and tallest seven-seater SUV, with a total length of 4,705mm, a width of 1,800mm, and a height of 1,775mm. It also has a 2,780mm wheelbase and 3,810-liter cargo capacity, making it the largest in its class.

Its durable monocoque body frame is built to bear heavy loads while protecting the safety of both the occupants and cargo. As a result, the CX70 is a truly versatile transportation platform.

The CX70 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that churns out 150ps and 230Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an advanced six-speed automatic transmission that distributes power through a rear-wheel drive layout. The CX70 is designed to blend the smooth operation of a fuel-efficient engine with the strength and power that a multi-role SUV provides. The driving load is separated from the front wheels, ensuring that the load is distributed evenly throughout the vehicle. This layout also ensures durability, dependability, and ease of maintenance, all of which are key factors for families and business owners when buying an all-around vehicle.

The CX70 is contoured with wheel arches and pronounced shoulder lines that radiate a powerful attitude, indicating its willingness to handle any challenge that may arise. On the inside, the CX70 is finished with high-quality accents that help create a comfortable driving and riding experience. It features a black leather-wrapped steering wheel and thermoplastic polyurethane seats. Meanwhile, soft-touch surfaces on the dashboard, doors, and armrests give all occupants a pleasant and luxurious feel. The quality and ambience of the interiors are further upgraded with chrome trim on the shifter console and cupholder surrounds, as well as bronze-finished accents on the dashboard.

The 40-60 split second-row seat and the 50-50 split third-row seat add to the vehicle’s ease of ingress and egress while giving the sense of plenty, useful space The third-row occupants are offered with spacious kneeroom, which extends the high level of comfort found in the first two rows.

A large sunroof also makes the CX70 riding experience more pleasant as it provides a view of the sky above and admits the refreshing air from the outside. This feature is often found on higher-priced models, but it is standard on every CX70 SUV.

The CX70 delivers not only in performance, but also in comfort and convenience. An electric power steering system lightens the tiller in tight and slow settings, making steering easier. The positive steering feel adapts with the vehicle’s speed, giving the driver confidence even at high speeds. Power folding side mirrors and power windows also contribute in making daily driving easier.

The CX70 is also equipped with an eight-inch touchscreen audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, which delivers onboard entertainment over six speakers strategically placed inside the cabin. Its touch-sensitive shortcut buttons also reduces the time it takes to access specific infotainment system functions and features. The touch panel also eliminates the need for separate air-conditioning controls.

Twelve-volt power outlets are also installed on the front- and third-row seats, allowing occupants to charge their mobile devices while on the road.

The CX70’s array of safety features and driving aids reflect Kaicene’s goal to provide a family car that protects and secures every occupant.

Dual airbags provide an additional layer of safety for the driver and front passenger. Standard features include an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD). Both the traction control system (TCS) and electronic stability program (ESP) keep the vehicle stable in any road condition. Meanwhile, hill hold control makes negotiating inclines and dips easier for the driver by holding the brake system for a few seconds longer until the driver regains control of the accelerator or brake pedal.

Isofix anchor points for child seats are installed on the second row for increased safety and protection. The smart keyless entry system, four rear parking sensors, and reverse camera all contribute to the CX70’s ease of operation.

The Kaicene CX70 is priced at P879,000. Every purchase comes with a three-year or 100,000-km warranty. BAAI’s existing dealership network will handle all parts and services.
