Kia reveals exterior and interior design of EV9

MANILA: Kia Corporation has released full images of the exterior and interior of its first three-row electric SUV, the 2024 Kia EV9.

The 2024 Kia EV9 embodies strong styling and sophisticated elegance. The 2024 Kia EV9 is a significant milestone in the company's quest to become a sustainable mobility solutions provider.

The 2024 Kia EV9's aggressive and powerful appearance is influenced by Kia's “Opposites United” design concept, which uses the creative tension produced by the differing values of nature and modernity to produce a harmonious totality. The designers at Kia have created an SUV that is stunningly modern yet pleasantly graceful by blending a special combination of sleek, sculptural lines and bold, muscular geometry.

“The Kia EV9 breaks new ground, aiming to redefine standards for design, connectivity, usability and environmental responsibility. The Kia EV9 offers customers an exceptionally high-quality proposition and a fresh EV perspective in the family SUV sector. This new vehicle typology provides instinctive experiences and excellent comfort for not just the driver, but all occupants, through innovative use of space, technology and design,” Kia Global Design Center Head Karim Habib stated.

The designers at Kia committed to produce vehicles with unmatched aesthetic appeal. The “Bold for Nature” pillar, which supports the fusion of elements from the natural and material worlds, has been essential in creating the exterior design of the 2024 Kia EV9. The result is a vehicle that expertly combines the calmness of a sophisticated electric vehicle with the unmistakable aura of rugged capability for all conditions, opening up new design possibilities for future electric SUVs.

The 2024 Kia EV9's front is distinguished by simple lines and body surfaces that express confidence, clarity, and calmness. The 2024 Kia EV9's distinctive Digital Tiger Face exudes a visionary and futuristic vibe and is accentuated by the Digital Pattern Lighting Grille and eye-catching vertical headlights. The bodywork of the Digital Tiger Face features two sets of small cube lamps next to each headlamp. The 2024 Kia EV9's groundbreaking Star Map LED daytime running lights produce a sophisticated animated lighting pattern that will serve as a visual cue for the Digital Tiger Face on Kia's future electric vehicle models.

The side profile of the 2024 Kia EV9 was based on a polygonal design language, which seamlessly combines a bold and unmistakable SUV identity with remarkable aerodynamic efficiency. Dynamic triangular fender structures and strongly defined geometric wheel arches form a unified structure with a defined appearance. A sense of quick and efficient motion is created by flush door handles and a tapered back roofline.

The 2024 Kia EV9's tailgate, with its uncomplicated, sleek lines and exquisitely detailed slim rear lights that mimic the front lights' design, further reflects the SUV's confident attitude.

The Kia EV9's long wheelbase, low beltline, and completely flat electric vehicle architecture, which were all made possible by Kia's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), have allowed for the creation of expansive space for all occupants. In order to ensure that the 2024 Kia EV9 provides equal space and comfort for all occupants without putting all of its focus on the driver, Kia sought feedback from families regarding seating configurations and features.

Passengers in the first and second rows can simultaneously recline their seats to relax. The seats in the second row may swivel 180 degrees, allowing occupants to interact with those on the third row. Furthermore, the third-row seats have cup holders and mobile device charging ports.

The 2024 Kia EV9 exudes an elegantly simple, high quality, and remarkably user-friendly design throughout the spacious, airy cabin. The open, floating panoramic dashboard spans from the steering wheel to the vehicle's center. The digital experience is improved by the integration of two 12.3-inch touch displays with a five-inch segment display. This allows for easy control of the vehicle's functions while minimizing the need for physical buttons.

The 2024 Kia EV9 will make its global debut later this month.
