Lexus PH to bring RZ 600e F-Sport BEV?

MANILA: Lexus Philippines could be launching the RZ 600e F-Sport battery electric vehicle (BEV) soon. This is based on memorandum circular MVL-2026-5255, which was recently published by the Land Transportation Office (LTO). 

Notably, the said circular presented scant details of the upcoming vehicle. Its name, however, hints that this is the top-spec variant of the all-electric Lexus RZ, which is already sold locally as the RZ 450e for P5.238 million and the RZ 300e at P4.358 million. 

For the few specs that were indicated in MVL-2026-5255, the RZ 600e F-Sport will come with an all-wheel-drive system, contrary to the lower-spec trims, which use front-wheel drive. Further, the vehicle is said to get a fast-charging direct current (DC) port, a maximum range of 510 kilometers, and a maximum speed of 180 kilometers per hour (kph). 

The latest LTO memorandum circular also listed its dimensions, which are as follows:

At the moment, Lexus Philippines has yet to disclose a launch date for the Lexus RZ 600e F-Sport. So, as we wait for details from the luxury marque, let’s check out the specs and features of the RZ 600e F-Sport’s global version.

Lexus RZ 600e F-Sport: specs, features

The Lexus RZ 600e F-Sport was globally launched by the Japanese brand back in January 2026. It is an improvement over the RZ 550e F-Sport, which didn’t reach the Philippine market. 

Propelling the model is a dual-motor setup that is capable of producing up to 420 horsepower (hp). Interestingly, the power figure indicated on the model’s LTO homologation papers is 224 hp. We aren’t sure yet if this was an oversight, or maybe the LTO only accounted for the maximum output of just one motor. 

Regardless, the global version of the high-performance electric vehicle (EV) can accelerate from zero to 100 kph in just 4.4 seconds. 

On the outside, the RZ 600e F-Sport comes with a very dramatic design. It retains some semblance of its lower-spec siblings, but its side section comes with very rakish details such as pronounced wheel arches with integrated aerodynamic fins, 20-inch large-diameter brake rotors, and a set of matte-black 21-inch wheels. 

The key point of the model’s exterior, however, is a dual carbon fiber rear wing setup - with one positioned on the edge of the trunk and the other on the rear edge of the vehicle’s roof. 

Per Lexus, these prominent aerodynamic elements were designed with the help of air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya and race driver Masahiro Sasaki. So, they aren’t just for show; they actually provide adjustable downforce and a relatively low drag coefficient of 0.33. 

It isn’t the lowest drag coefficient, as far as EV models go, but that is quite low considering that the model retains a generally blocky sport utility vehicle-like silhouette to maximize interior comfort and space. 

Speaking of its interior, the global-spec version mixes familiar Lexus opulence with functional performance bits. Some of these noteworthy interior amenities include, but are not limited to: 

• Ultrasuede sports seats
• Yoke-type steering wheel with steer-by-wire technology
• 14-inch infotainment display
• Digital rearview mirror
• Panoramic glass sunroof with dimming function
• Mark Levinson Surround Sound
• Aluminum sport pedals
